YouTube Influencer of the Month: FashionByAlly

/ June 7, 2016

Fashionbyally picMeet Ally – our influencer of the month! She’s a born and raised California girl who strives to inspire her followers through her DIY and lifestyle videos. She’s deeply in tune with her subscribers and is always looking for what they want to see from her next, which has led her to create two separate channels, FashionByAlly and Ally Vlogs. Making Money on YouTube… Beyond the Sponsored Video

/ March 30, 2016

If you ask anyone who takes their YouTube channel seriously they will tell you that making compelling content that people want to watch is hard work. And for most, they are producing videos weekly at the same frequency or interval as a publisher. Except they don’t get paid a salary to play the role of talent, make up artist, videographer, producer and editor. Now some people may view making YouTube videos as a hobby but for these individuals that choose to invest this much of their personal (free) time making videos  you will get a very different response. Many are paying their way through college or have been able to quit their day job to stay home with their kids as a result of a little hard work and dedication.

How do you ask?

Where’s the ability to post a new picture or video?! It’s a logical question since users are already using services to manage their other social media accounts. Surely it’s just a matter of time before social media managers can use Hootsuite to post to Instagram without the use of work-arounds. Then, not too long ago, Instagram announced updates to their API. This was it right? They’re finally allowing posting through their API?

“Deconstructing” Your Influencer Video Programs

/ February 8, 2016

Cha-ching! A recent survey revealed that 56% of brands are increasing their marketing budgets this year, and while the top initiatives for these brands will continue to focus on programs across email, social media and display, we’re also hearing that a larger piece of the budgeting pie is being allocated to Influencer Marketing. Consumers look to influencers to speak genuinely to their audience by offering ‘peer to peer’ style feedback of their true-to-life experiences with certain brands and products. Their content, particularly in video format, tends to lead to an increase in engagement and loyalty with the brand itself and a powerful impact on the consumer’s purchase behavior. It has been proven that video content in general converts better than any other form of content, yet only 24% of brands are investing in it. Read more
